sleeping facts for my dear friends

i am never a fan of sleeping... i like staying up late and waking up late... never liked afternoon naps even though i was really tired... i like staying in bed doing silly stuff like reading or hiding under the blankets but not sleeping... there are always times when i roll back and forth on my bed but i just cant fall asleep... tried counting sheep but the longer i count, the more awake i am... tired reading a really boring book or studying, but it doesnt really help... i will just hide under my blanket or look at the ceiling... (well, people do complain they cant wake me up by calling me on the phone... the truth is, i am awake but i just dont wanna get off my bed to pick up the phone so im not actually sleeping...)

i have always been jealous of people who can fall as
leep anywhere anytime... like my friends katie and lawrence, who can fall asleep while talking on the phone, or mid-way through a conversation, not to mention during long classes... yes, like u stopped talking for like 30 seconds and u can find lawrence already sleeping soundly in his chair... u can call katie at any afternoon and if no one picks up the phone, she's sleeping... i always think they're just super-human...

i was reading random blogs when i came upon these sleeping facts... but there are some which i think are not entirely accurate in my experience...

- Anything less than five minutes to fall asleep at night means you're sleep deprived. The ideal is between 10 and 15 minutes, meaning you're still tired enough to sleep deeply, but not so exhausted you feel sleepy by day.

i dont really think my above-mentioned friends are sleep deprived... they sleep more than 8 hours most of the time and i cant imagine anyone can be sleep deprived after those long periods of sound sleep...

- Snoring occurs only in non-REM sleep

then how come i get woken up 10+ times every time i slept in the same room with my parents?? hm, im certain they snore the whole night... or does that mean they only have non-REM sleep?? next time should check whether their eyes move when they sleep...

- Experts say one of the most alluring sleep distractions is the 24-hour accessibility of the internet.

finally this is something i find true, haha...

and look at what i have stolen from that same person's blog!! this is something i call FUNNY!!
